Today I am super excited! Today makes 5 weeks since my surgery which means…..1 more week till I can workout again!!! It’s been 4 months since I have worked out…yes you read that right…4 months! I found out about my prolapse in October and the next day was sick with the flu. By the time I was better it hurt just to do simple body weight lunges or squats. I would have had the surgery right then, but it was right before the holidays and that alone is stressful enough. That’s why I put it off till after the new year. Well it’s been a long 4 months. I’m so ready to get back into routine.
So I’m super excited to announce that once my doctor clears me I will be joining Orange County Fitness. It is kind of like a boot camp workout. They run a lot which I’m really pumped about. I had worked up to running 3 miles back in 2011. There is no way I can run 3 miles right now, heck I’ll be surprised if I can run a single lap! One of my goals this year is start running marathons. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. So back to OCF. Several of my friends have joined and really love it. I’ve seen their amazing transformations which is very inspiring. They also offer daycare at one of their classes which will help during the summer months.
I’ll be blogging about my workouts, sharing the ups and downs of it all, and new healthy recipes I come across. I’ll be taking taking pics of my progress as well. I really wish I would have done that the first time but I was so ashamed of how I looked I waited till the end of the year to post it. I feel like I’m starting over somewhat so blogging will help keep me accountable and on track. Getting started is always the hardest part.
