Time sure has flown since my last post back in January. I would love to be able to tell you I’m halfway to my goal but I’m not. When I last posted I received a ton of support and people encouraging me which I definitely needed at the time. Of course there is always the 1% that will disagree or actually get offended by my post which had nothing to do with them. Not gonna lie…it pissed me off…so much I fell off the healthy wagon that very day. It wasn’t till April that I decided it was time to make some serious changes in my life. I was tired of avoiding cameras everywhere I went. I was tired of not being able to fit in my clothes. I was tired of feeling like crap. I had enough. I realized I shouldn’t have let that distraction keep me from my goal to a healthier life. I won’t go into specifics right now but I chose to put myself first for the first time in 2 years. I started working out regularly again, eating better, and removing distractions that weren’t necessary. The result is that I’m happier, have more energy, and as of last Friday down 24.5 lbs. Losing weight is not something that comes easy for me, I have to really work at it to make it happen. The older I get the harder it gets, which means it has to be a primary focus for me right now.
Another change I will be making is that I will be removing my blog’s Facebook page and replacing it with a private group. Facebook makes it nearly impossible to see posts from pages unless you pay to boost them. Those who have followed my blog and journey will be able to get updates easier this way. Update: I have decided to keep my Facebook page for a while since I am going to be blogging regularly again.
