I love this time of year! The leaves turning, the air getting cooler, and high school football brings back such great memories from my childhood. There is just something about this time of year that makes me want to put on a big pot of soup and have cookies baking in the oven for my kids’ after school snack. This time of year also gets me in the mood to decorate for the holidays, starting with fall and Halloween. I usually don’t do a lot for Halloween but this year I decided to go all out for my kids. Last year this time of year just wasn’t the same due to the hurricane. Instead of decking out my home in festive decor, I was helping to gut it completely. So this year I kind of went over board to say the least. Since the remodel we have an office/playroom/still trying to decide what to do with room. HAHA! So I have completely decorated it for Halloween in a non-scary kinda way. I don’t want my kids to be scared walking through it! Next Friday I am holding a fall playdate. We will be decorating Halloween cookies and crafts and I will have a pot of chili for lunch. I have a “scene” put up on the wall to take pics in front of as well. I can’t wait to have everyone over!
We are also going to be donating food and clothes to Orange Christian Services. I have asked everyone coming to bring something to donate. If anyone would like to help out let me know.
I already got Ashton and Kaylee’s costumes for Halloween. Ashton is being a transformer and Kaylee is going to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader! (As if you had to ask!) Jordan still hasn’t decided what he wants to be yet.
Anyway, that’s what’s been going on lately, as well as Southern Living at HOME parties! It’s been keeping me busy and I am so thankful!
Hope everyone has a great fall!
