Tonight started off with a bang, literally! My friends and I were on our way to sub for the Nederland bunko group. We had just left my house and heading down Texas Ave in Bridge City when this guy pulls out of the Walmart parking lot right in front of us! He was turning to go the opposite way that we were going. I slammed on my brakes and swirved to the right but still smashed into his backend. My front bumper is messed up, left front light was smashed, the grill is somewhere on Texas Ave, and my driver side door won’t open all the way due to the way the side of the front bumper is bent. Rachel and Chrissy were in the back seat and flew forward but were not hurt. I pulled into the Exon station, which by the way, still hasn’t reopened since Ike. The guy that I hit pulled in on the other side of McDonalds. Chrissy and Kim walked over to get his info and license number just in case he decided to flee. Now, for those of you who know me and my friends, all our bunkos and any bunkos we attend (sub) have monthly themes. This months theme for this group was pajama bunko! So here we all our standing outside my wrecked vehicle in our P.J.s for all of Bridge City to see while waiting for the police to show up! Nice. The cop thought we were traveling together! LOL Yeah, traveling to good ol Nederland. Anyway, the guy that hit me, his insurance had expired, but claims he has insurance. So we are having to wait to hear to see about getting my vehicle fixed. So I guess I’ll be getting a rental car in the mean time, hopefully one that will fit all 5 of us! Anyway, here are some pics of the night. I was literally shaking with it first happened, but so thankful no one was hurt.
The “Fab Four” forever bonded! We made it anyway! I agree with Rachel, we should definitely get the MOST DEDICATED AWARD!
