We’ve all been there. One minute you are on the treadmill running for your life and loving it, and the next you are glazed over wondering when it’s going to be over. You are constantly looking down to see if you have those miles done yet or looking at the clock every 5 minutes. Yes the inevitable workout boredom. I am THERE! Well on the cardio side anyway. I still love love love to run (only in the evenings these days, way too hot!) and still very much loving the spin class, but the treadmill is becoming as boring to me as watching the grass grow. Walking or running in place looking at the same thing for 30-45 minutes causes me to want to rush through it or end it early. One thing I love about working with my trainer is we rarely do the same thing twice in a row. The body adapts quickly so changing it up helps fat burn faster and to avoid plateaus. Not knowing what to expect on those days can be exciting and quite scary! I never know what crazy things he will make me do! LOL! Back to the cardio. It’s time for me to start changing it up a bit. I tried the stairmaster the other day…again…and did not like it…again. But I didn’t like running in the beginning either, or kettlebell swings! So I’m going to give the stairmaster another chance to prove me wrong and hopefully I will learn to love it too.
Anyway. A few months back I mentioned I wanted to become a certified personal trainer. I’m really hoping that this October I will be getting my certification. By then I will have met my goal and Kaylee will finally be in school. I’m super excited and nervous at the same time. I have been receiving so many emails asking for advice and I am truly honored to be able to share my journey and inspire others on theirs. I’m also amazed at the amount of support I have received. So thank you all who have been supporting and following my journey. I can’t wait to begin the next one. 🙂
